Your browser opens — and it gets born
No more terminal from here. A setup page opens where you pick a print (the starting personality), choose how it thinks (on the plan, your included hours come first, with nothing to paste; otherwise, add a model key or point it at a local model), and give it your name. Then it chooses its own name and says hello.
Headless machine, or installing over SSH? The installer prints a link you can open from your phone or laptop instead.
What that command actually does
Fair question to ask before pasting anything into a terminal.
- Checks your machine (Linux, Python 3.10+) and stops with a plain explanation if something's missing.
- Downloads the release and verifies its cryptographic signature before a single line runs — an unsigned or altered download is refused, not warned about.
- Builds an isolated environment under ~/.repryntt-mind so nothing touches your system Python.
- Installs a service so your agent survives a reboot, and mints a dashboard key that only you can read.
- Everything it creates lives in folders you own. Uninstalling is deleting them.
What it can and can't do
Your Bot can read and write files in its own workspace, browse, and run tasks you give it. It cannot spend money, email anyone, or post anything without asking you first — those limits are written into the code, not into a prompt it could talk itself out of.
Your memory and your keys stay on your machine, not with us. On the included hours, the text of each request passes through our service to the model; we log the usage, never the content. Cancel whenever and the memory is still yours — it's a folder you own.
